Lexie Anne & Grant: Carolina Trace Country Club

There are few things more beautiful than seeing high school sweethearts tie the knot. Lexie Anne and Grant began dating their freshman year of high school and have grown their young relationship into a mature life-long bond. Through the toasts made at there rehearsal dinner, it is clear that these two people are pure goodness. As one of Lexie Anne’s sisters said, they have close relationships with so many people because that’s just who they are. Taylor & Tres: Washington Duke Inn

“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain.”  This statement spoken by the father of the bride is the only way to describe Taylor and Tres’s perfect wedding day. When Hurricane Matthew decided to send down buckets of rain and hair twirling wind, Taylor and Tres embraced the unplanned conditions and literally ‘danced in the rain’. Having met at Duke University, the Duke Chapel and the Washington Duke Inn served as the perfect backdrops for their nuptials, football tailgate, and rockin’ reception. While many elements of their day could be categorized under “magical”, the highlight of the night was decidedly, the father of the bride’s toast. Mr. Starks told the most beautiful story about a question that Taylor had asked him when she was little. The answer to that question will make your heart swell and bring you to tears!

Caroline & Hamp: Greensboro Country Club

Caroline and Hamp were married at First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro and they celebrated afterwards with all of their family and friends at the Greensboro Country Club! Their genuine sweetness and joy was visible from the moment we arrived to capture their day. Their personalities were perfectly reflected by the elegant and meaningful details throughout the day. From the vintage Rolls Royce that carried Caroline and her parents to the church steps, to the heirloom cake topper that graced generations of Manning wedding cakes, the whole day felt timeless.

Virginia & Matt: Washington Duke Inn

Happy Wednesday! I am so excited to share Virginia and Matt’s cinematic film today! Their connection to Duke University (both former Duke lacrosse players) made the fact that their wedding was held at Duke Chapel and Washington Duke Inn extra special. It was an absolute blast editing this one because the energy and excitement was present from the preparations all the way through to the dancing. Andrea & Nate: The Sutherland

Happy Wednesday, y’all! We have been staying so busy in the editing room that I haven’t had a chance to post many new films to the blog lately, but I just had to share Andrea and Nate’s wedding with you today! Phil and Lucy captured their beautiful and joy-filled day at Sacred Heart Cathedral in downtown Raleigh and The Sutherland in Wake Forest, NC. I heard such great things about their day and was so excited to finally get Andrea and Nate’s wedding into the editing room. As soon as I started looking through the footage, I knew Andrea and Nate are one of those couples that are “perfect for each other”. On their big day, Nate kept surprising Andrea with thoughtful wedding “extras” and she never stopped making him laugh. It was quickly evident to me that they love bringing joy to each other. I could also see that they both cherish their families, and knew that that had to be a central theme of their film. Andrea and her father had, hands down, the best father and daughter first look I have ever seen! We get choked up here in the office every time we watch it. So grab your tissues and enjoy Andrea and Nate’s beautiful day!

Rachel & Blake: Fayetteville, NC

We had the honor of filming Rachel and Blake’s fun-filled and emotional wedding at at Butler Chapel and The Officer’s Club in Fayetteville, NC last summer. We loved getting to know this sweet couple and hearing the story of how they met – at a Bible study led by their officiant (which met for the first time in a boiling hot Subway). Some of our favorite moments from the day included: Rachel’s father, uncle and cousin singing “Shine on Us” a cappella, Rachel and Blake’s thoughtful (and emotional) wedding day gifts for each other, and the wedding party’s awesome reception introductions!

Erika + Frank

Happy Thanksgiving week y’all! We are excited to share Erika and Frank’s beautiful wedding film at Highgrove Estate with you before we head home for the week and enjoy a big thanksgiving feast with our families. Erika and Frank met while salsa dancing, and some of our favorite parts of their day were their handwritten vows (we do hope that Erika always keeps the fridge stocked with shiner bock 🙂 ), heart-felt toasts, the full dance floor and yummy s’mores station.
