Virginia & Matt: Washington Duke Inn

Happy Wednesday! I am so excited to share Virginia and Matt’s cinematic film today! Their connection to Duke University (both former Duke lacrosse players) made the fact that their wedding was held at Duke Chapel and Washington Duke Inn extra special. It was an absolute blast editing this one because the energy and excitement was present from the preparations all the way through to the dancing. I hope you enjoy their beautiful day and especially their killer reception…it was a non-stop party!

Lauren & Alan: Lake Lure Inn & Spa

Happy Wednesday, we are thrilled to share Lauren and Alan’s wedding film! Lauren and Alan were married at Fairfield Mountains Chapel and Lake Lure Inn & Spa in Lake Lure, NC. It was our first time filming at Lake Lure and our whole team fell in love with this beautiful spot in western NC. We can’t wait film there again in the future!

As soon as I got Lauren and Alan’s footage into the editing room I started to do a happy dance because not only was their wedding location beautiful, but so was their story! (Also, they both teared up on the wedding day, and I LOVE tears.)  Some of my favorite moments from the day include: Lauren holding her mom’s hands while her dress was being zipped, Alan’s reaction to seeing his bride, and some of the guests jumping into the pool at the end of the reception!   PS – a weekend at Lake Lure is definitely on my summer bucket list after seeing all this beautiful aerial footage!

Summer & Adam: The Carolina Inn

Meet Summer and Adam! They were married at University United Methodist Church and The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, NC. Some of our favorite moments from the day included: Summer’s beautiful processional, the father-daughter dance (Summer is a Rockette and she and her Dad planned an extra special father-daughter dance which included cowboy hats, sun glasses, fedoras and oodles of awesome dance moves), and their oh-so lively dance floor!

Rachel & Nick: North Ridge Country Club

Happy New Year, friends! We are so excited to share Rachel and Nick (and Carter’s!) heartfelt wedding day with you. Rachel and Nick were married at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh, NC.  Some of our favorite moments from the day included: Rachel and Nick’s card exchange (sweet little Carter delivered their notes), the emotional reception toasts (tearful toasts are our favorite!), and the way Rachel and Nick incorporated their first date into the reception (Rachel and Nick had frozen yogurt from Yogurt Mountain served for all their guests). PS – go ahead and grab a box of tissues, because this film is a tear-jerker!

Kate & Alex: Haw River Ballroom

Meet Kate & Alex! They met about four years ago at a dear friends’ wedding where Kate was a bridesmaid and Alex was a groomsman. It didn’t take long before Kate and Alex (and their family and friends) realized that they were perfect for each other! Phil and Lucy loved capturing their relaxed day at Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw, NC. And as soon as they showed me the beautiful footage of Kate and Alex climbing rocks on the Haw River (kudos to Kate for doing so in heels!), I was counting down the days until their wedding was in the editing room! Some of my favorite moments from the day included: Kate and Alex’s emotional handwritten vows, their post-ceremony toast with the entire wedding party and their killer on-stage dance moves to “Check Up On It” at the end of the reception.

Shelly & Jason: Rose Hill Plantation

Meet Shelly and Jason! Phil and Rob had the joy of filming their spring wedding at Rose Hill Plantation in Nashville, NC. Like many spring afternoons, April 19th threatened cloudy skies and rain. Of course, this added some stress to the day as Shelly and Jason had plans for an outdoor ceremony by the pond. But Shelly and Jason didn’t let the rain crush their spirits. Instead, Shelly and her bridesmaids circled around and shared in an intimate time of prayer before the ceremony, refocusing on what really mattered that day – Shelly and Jason starting their lives together – rather than the rain. Everyone was overjoyed when the rain stopped just in time for the ceremony, and Shelly and Jason were married by the pond as planned. 🙂  PS – Isn’t Shelly’s dress stunning!
