Jill + Blake, Boone Hall Plantation

You will believe in love at first sight after hearing Jill and Blake’s story. They serendipitously met in Raleigh at a bar with friends and immediately hit it off (much to her friend, Susan’s surprise). After long distance dating, Jill made a big move to be with Blake and they continued to show their friends and family that they were perfect for each other.
Boone Hall Plantation was the the most romantic setting for Jill and Blake’s South Carolina nuptials. With the Spanish moss blowing in the wind and gorgeous horses grazing nearby, it must have felt like magic as Jill walked towards Blake in the golden sunset.

Catherine and Ryan went on a blind date eight years ago. Their wedding day is the culmination of two young individuals spending eight years growing, learning, laughing, overcoming, and, most importantly, loving. The joy that radiates from these two love-birds is infectious. From their first look at their church through the dancing at The Lofts at Union Square, I promise you will feel like you know them because you will find your self smiling at their happiness.

Catherine & Glen, North Carolina Museum of Art

“Catherine has always marched to the beat of her own drum and she was just looking for someone who danced to the very same beat and that’s when Glen came along.” These words were spoken by Catherine’s sister, Sarah, and I think that is such a sweet way to describe someone finding the love of their life. Catherine and Glen are so in sync with each other, it is truly beautiful to see. Their couples footage at the park of the North Carolina Museum of Art is a work of art in itself. The park sculptures against the barren December landscape, provide the most stunning backdrop for Catherine and Glen to soak up their first moments as husband and wife. Check out this film to see these two people, who were clearly made for each other, say “I DO”!

If you are looking for a time-stopping romance, look no further. Draia and Eder have a fairy-tale worthy love. They met at work and, apparently, it took a moment for Draia to realize that her prince charming was a few desks down, waiting to give her the world. As soon as Eder was able to sweep Draia off of her feet, it was clear to their friends and family that they are a perfect match. As if exchanging their hand-written vows in the Sutherland gardens wasn’t gorgeous enough, they stood under a beautiful arbor that Eder built himself while vowing forever. Press play to see D+E start their happily-ever-after!

Nothing is sweeter than two people pledging their commitment to one another under the sun, surrounded by butterflies, in the company of their family & closest friends. Except, when that sweet couple has a little baby boy and pledging their commitment to each other also means celebrating the future of a loving family–I think that takes the cake! Alison and Robert’s wedding at The Bradford is busting at the seams with sweet love that is shown through: hand-written cards, Robert’s face as Alison comes down the isle, and their son (Dawson) joining them during their first dance.

“Here is my little advice on what a successful marriage takes… and it takes that you fall in love very many times with the same person.”

Emma and Matt’s day was a range of emotions – from tear-jerking handwritten letters to laughter-inducing toasts, we dare you not to feel some of the same joy and excitement Emma & Matt felt on their wedding day. Not only are these two clearly in love with each other, it is also obvious they have become each others best friend. We loved Emma’s sassy humor and Matt’s thoughtfulness and love for football!

Two years of long distance, a big move to New York, lots of laughter and a secret handshake all played a part in leading to Gina and Luke’s joy-filled day. When we first spoke to Gina and Luke, it became quickly evident that they are each other’s best friends and absolutely love to have fun! They are funny, trustworthy, hardworking and so in love. My favorite moment from the day was during Gina and Luke’s introduction at Brier Creek Country Club… the entire room cheered as they danced giddily across the room with grins so big it seemed they could have burst with joy.

These two college sweethearts decided to tie the knot outside at The Arbors in Cleveland, NC. In typical North Carolina fashion, that June summer day was a scorcher, but the pretty flowers and lush green leaves made for an unbeatable backdrop. Under a pink sunset, Katelyn and Chris’s guests played cornhole and wrote well wishes on the wooden blocks of life-sized Jenga. As the moon rose and the stars twinkled, Chris surprised Katelyn with a fire-pit for s’mores and everyone danced the night away to celebrate a sweet couple.

Your heart will melt instantly when you see the love Erin and John Aaron share with their daughter, Evlyn Mae. It is the beautiful center of this wedding day story and you can see how everyone in attendance is overjoyed to celebrate such a sweet family. The genuine happy tears during their vows and the giggly excitement during their couples footage will have you smiling from ear to ear. Erin and John Aaron’s first dance was set to Justin Timberlake’s Mirrors but then the record skipped and suddenly the whole wedding party was jammin’ to Tat It Up by DL4 and this set the tone for the whole evening. The smiles were big, the dance moves were legendary and what lives on is the happy ever after of a loving family.

Head over to A.J. Dunlap’s blog to see her beautiful images from their day.
